Brothy Choc Cherry Gummies by Renee Lynch

Our good friend, nutritionist and clinical naturopath Renee Lynch has shared her Broth Based Choc Cherry Gummy recipe and it’s a WINNER with the kids (and adults!).

These gummies are filled with our GOOD BONES Beef Broth which contains the amino acid glycine that helps promote relaxation and restorative sleep - YAY!

They also include Sour cherry juice that contains tryptophan (which helps the body produce melatonin), and also contains melatonin, making it one of the best things to consume in the lead up to bed time to improve both sleep quality and duration. Sounds GOOD to us!!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup canned coconut milk (I love Honest to Goodness)

  • 1/2 cup or sour cherry juice

  • 1/2 cup GOOD BONES Beef Broth

  • 2 heaped Tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 heaped Tbsp butter

  • 3 Tbsp sweetener - I love maple syrup

  • Pinch salt

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 4 tablespoons grass fed gelatin

METHOD

  • Add all ingredients to a saucepan without turning on the heat, sprinkling your gelatin so that it blooms. Heat gently over low heat until gelatin dissolves and everything is well mixed.

  • Pour mixture into silicone moulds and set in the fridge. Also delicious frozen!
