Boob to Food's Brothy Rice

From Luka McCabe, Founder of Boob to Food

“One of the easiest and most nourishing ways to include bone broth in your baby’s diet is by cooking grains in it. This brothy rice is simple, delicious, and gentle on tiny tummies — a beautiful base for starting solids or sharing as a family.

Many store-bought broths are packed with sodium, making them unsuitable for little ones, especially when just starting solids. That’s why I love GOOD BONES Bone Broth. It’s low in sodium, made from real, whole food ingredients, and gentle on tiny tummies!”

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup medium-grain white rice

1½ cups (375 ml) GOOD BONES Bone Broth (chicken or beef)

  • 1 tablespoon Organic Coconut Oil

METHOD

  • Place the rice in a fine sieve and rinse under running water until the water runs clear.

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the washed rice, GOOD BONES Bone Broth, and coconut oil. Stir gently and bring to a boil over high heat.

  • Once boiling, reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Keep an eye on it in the final minutes — the broth should be fully absorbed.

  • Remove from heat (keeping the lid on) and let it sit for 5 minutes.

  • Fluff with a fork and serve warm.
